In the winter of 2000, Herb and Helen Wallenstein of Oceanside New York gave a major gift to Sharei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem in Rebbetzin Liz's name to expand the synagogue. They also set up a scholarship for an observant female student pursuing a degree at Bar Ilan University either in social work or in music therapy. An anonymous family from Oceanside New York established an annual scholarship for a female student at the Aish haTorah College of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem.
In the Spring of 2000, a gift was given to the Afula Educational Center's children's program. Rabbi Menahem Gold dean of the center said the money would help establish a Jewish enrichment program for local children.
On October 25th 1999, a donation was given to the Vishnitz Eim haBonim S'meishah fund in Bnei Brak, Israel. This is a fund which supports over 500 families a year in which mothers of newborn children are assisted.
On the same day a Gmilut Chesed Fund was created in Beit Shemesh for mothers of newborns and for needy families.
