Elisheva Hall
On Sunday, Dec. 19th 1999, the 11th of Tevet, the dedication of the Elisheva Hall took place at Congregation Ohav Sholom, 270 West 84th street on Manhattan's upper west side. It was at this synagogue that Rabbi J. Yaakov Schwartz served as rabbi from 1988 to 1995 and Liz served as Rebbetzin from 1993 to 1995. Josh and Bryna Landes, Liz's sister and brother-in-law helped chair the major renovation project of the synagogue and helped bring about this beautiful banquet hall hosting most of the synagogue's events. Guest speakers at the dedication were Rabbi J. Yaakov Schwartz, Rabbi Wilfred Shuchat, Rabbi Aaron Landes of Philadelphia, Rabbi Mehlman, the congregation's current rabbi and a special talk was given by Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis.
Younger Israel of Oceanside
In the summer of 2000, the Younger Israel of Oceanside, New York renovated and dedicated its lobby in memory of Rebbetzin Liz. A specially designed artistic fabric of needlepoint done by the women of the congregation is a permanent memorial to her in that lobby. In addition Howard and Lauren Glaser of Oceanside New York donated a Torah schroll in their father's name with an Etz Hayim which bares an inscription in memory of Rebbetzin Liz.
The Creation According to Midrash Rabba
On November 14, 2002 there was a book launch of Rabbi Shuchat's "The Creation According to Midrash Rabba" at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim in Montreal. The book was dedicated to Liz's memory.
Beit Elisheva
In the summer of 2004 Mr. Samuel Gewurz, president of the Loonlake Jewish Center in upstate New York dedicated the Beit Elisheva synagogue guest-house in Liz's memory.
Music Room at SAR
In 2005 Joshua and Bryna Landes donated a music room at the Salanter Academy of Riverdale, New York in Liz's name.
Migdal Haemek
In the 2006 Joshua and Bryna Landes donated a kindergarden in Liz's name at the Migdal Ohr Children's Village in Migdal Haemek, Israel.
