The Ner L'Elisheva Foundation was created in 2002 to perpetuate the memory of Rebbetzin Elisheva Shayna (Liz) Shuchat-Schwartz, of blessed memory. The Foundation's goal is to enhance Jewish traditional education in the State of Israel as well as to seek out new expressions of Israeli-Jewish culture. Furthermore the Foundation seeks ways and means to bridge gaps in Israeli society between Jews of religious and non-religious backgrounds in a meaningful dialogue.
